5. Alasia Cortese, Piemonte 2022 £28.95
A highly versatile wine - made from Cortese, the same grape used in Gavi,
giving a similarly tasty wine but without the big price tag. A poor man’s Gavi! I Think not.

This is delightful. Verdejo is reminiscent of a lighter style Sauvignon with

This is superb, Le Versant replicates the exotic richness and aroma of Condrieu.
Rich, mouth filling with an intense nose of apricots, ripe peach and exotic fruits.
The palate has a fresh crisp acidity and a long lingering finish.

16. Riverby Estate Sauvignon Blanc, Malborough, New Zealand 2022 £44.95
Riverby Estate is a boutique wine estate occupying a prime site in Marlborough,
being situated next door to iconic winery Cloudy Bay. In 1989 vines were first
planted and grapes are now grown on the estate vineyard by descendants
of the Matthews family, who have been farming the property for over 100 years.
A delicious example of an upmarket Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc!

Guigal’s 2015 Condrieu is a blockbust, be one of the wines of the vintage. Aged in one-third new barrels and two-thirds in tank, it’s a rich, unctuous, thrillingly textured beauty that has plenty of orange blossom, flower oil, tangerine and peach. Fruit-loaded, with just a touch of minerality.
